Robin Venturelli is a contemporary painter who lives and works in Los Angeles, California, and Bluffton, South Carolina. Her colorful paintings and distinctive personal style radiate joy and joie de vivre, as reflected in her splash of blue hair.
Her early work of bright, large abstract-expressionist canvases and her current oil portraits of famous musicians come alive through contrasting and harmonious colors and bold compositions. As the artist explains, “I am a storyteller, and I welcome you to join me on this visual journey.”
As a child, Robin received prizes for her innate talent. From a young age, she believed, “You can create anything once you see it in your mind.” She began painting with her grandmother during summer art classes they took together in Laguna Beach, California. Robin earned a Bachelor of Arts from U.C.L.A. and an advanced degree in Education from U.C. Irvine— with honors. She is also the recipient of various awards from the Black Box Gallery in Bend, Oregon, Exhibizone Diversia Gallery, and Praxis Gallery in St. Paul, MN.
Robin is an active member of the M.O.C.A. Projects Council in Los Angeles.
